Random Poetry is an ongoing photographic project, started in 2014, with more than 4000 photographs published.

Each image is a small poem, like a haiku or sonnet, obeying specific rules: square format, black and white, heavy contrast, punctual blur and spontaneity. These rules do not limit, they are a formal vehicle of expression and language.

The rules are clear, the purpose is not, each photograph is self-contained, but they are all intertwined in a large timeline or body of work. When viewed or combined together, they have the potential to form a cohesive narrative.

Poetics is the art of composition, and these photographs are small exercises in choices made by a careful eye, frames where we try to find pockets of unique moments that would otherwise be lost.

Here, quick cell phone shots are elevated to the status of tangible physical works. In reality, it's just a collection of short visual poems with a black and white filter.
